Fun Easter Sewing Projects
With Easter just around the corner, I thought I would put together a list of fun Easter sewing projects that you can make to creatively decorate your home or give as gifts, or even sew to sell at markets or church fairs.

21 1/2″ x 14 1/2″ Primary fabric,
10″ x 14 1/2″ contrast Fabric,
Fat quarter of accent fabric,
1/4 yd fusible web,
Fabric Bundles for quilting
1 fat quarter of printed cotton fabric
fleece scrap 9″ x 7″
felt scrap 6″ square
knit scrap 6″ x 10″
*Small piece of double-sided fusible is optional.

Pillow Front – 14″ square of fabric
Pillow Back – two 10″ x 14″ pieces of coordinating fabric
DMC Pearl Cotton Embroidery Floss
14″ square of thin batting or fusible fleece
3″ circle of white fabric
14″ pillow form
58″ of pom pom trim
3/4yd woven fabric or home décor weight fabric
Lining fabric: 1/2yd 100% quilting cotton
Fleece / Faux Fur: 6″x6″ scrap
Interfacing: 1 3/4 yd fusible interfacing (Pellon SF101)
Fusible fleece: 3/4yd (1/2yd is sufficient if piecing the long strap pieces)
Strap adjusters – 2 1.5″ wide bag strap adjuster sets
14″ Non-separating zipper
Polyester stuffing – small amount to stuff tail
a piece of fabric scrap for ears of about 14″ x 5″
a piece of fabric for the tie in the middle, of about 10″ x 2″
blunt tool for pushing corners out
glue gun (optional)
Grocery bag fabric – 1/2 yard of 4 colors.
You will need at least 1/2 yard for the animal applique
bunny silhouette (find one online)
Printed upholstery fabrics
If desired, 1 set of Applique Shapes
1/2 yard of print fabric (you’ll need more for a large basket)
1/4 – 1/2 yard of white fabric (or whatever fabric you’d like to use for the part of the liner that hangs over the side of the basket).
Packaged Double Fold Bias Tape (1/2″ wide while folded) OR a 2″ wide fabric cut on the bias and a 1″ double-fold bias tape tool to make your own bias tape.
Fabric Safe Marking Pen
2 yards of 1/4″ wide ribbon
Four 5″ squares of fabric (cutting them into squares before hand will make them quicker to stitch up and reduce waste – I promise) and about 16″ of 1/4 – 3/8″ribbon.
1 x linen circle, 2 1/2″ radius (5″ across)
1 x fusible light interfacing circle, 2 1/2″ radius (5″ across)
2 x linen circle, 2 5/8″ radius (5 1/4″ across)
1 x medium weight interfacing circle, 2 5/8″ radius (5 1/4″ across)
1 x piece of printed fabric for bow, 1/2″ x 15″ (or ribbon)
